クマタモはパンの端っこ、もといパンの耳がお気に入りです。焼き色のサクサク部分と、白いモチモチ部分が同時に味わえるところが好きです。さて、日本ではパンの端っこを何故”耳”というのでしょう？日本は昔から耳が人間の顔の端にあることから、端の部分を耳と表現する文化があり、そこからパンの”耳”が浸透してゆきました。パン屋さんではサンドイッチを作る工程等で余ってしまったパンの耳だけ安く売ってくれるところがあります。
